RAF ‘5 MILER OF DEATH’

I had a longer walk to and from the Med centre! I couldn’t believe it when this video  first appeared on social media. I thought, OK guys, nice one, we all know the RAF slag themselves off on a regular basis and get the piss ripped out of them from every part of the military, but surely this was staged?

Someone must have thought, I know, let’s take the piss out of ourselves and give them crayon-eating gentlemen a reason to do some Classic RAF Regiment bashing, we’ll have the last laugh.

Great wind-up guys, but no, it was real, and the rest is history. I bet that Flight Sgt is so chuffed that he made that speech. The most hilarious military ‘motivational’ speech outside the wire, of all time.

Apart from a few idiots, none of those lads would ever compare themselves to the Paras or Marines. Some will say that he was only trying to inspire his men on the last leg of their RAF training.

All this is about is a basic bog standard 5-mile tab with a range at the end, who hasn’t done that? But the way this guy, in the maroon shirt by the way, with his hands in his pockets is talking, like they're all SF once they finish it.

For those who have not seen the video, my favourite motivational speech ever. It never gets old. Long after I’ve gone, they’ll be still watching this down the Legion for years to come. Great video though!

By the way, did Phil Collins get paid royalties for that soundtrack? Just saying.
